WhiskeyJack Formed in early 2006, WhiskeyJack is comprised of 6 central Illinois musicians with diverse backgrounds. Four of the five band members have 30+ years of musical performance and touring backgrounds. Their main focus is creating music with a fresh and exciting approach of acoustic-laced instrumentation with additions of non-traditional instruments and intensive vocal harmonies. Realizing that there is an enormous demand for such a project; WhiskeyJack set out to form a unique blend of classic acoustic rock as well as contemporary and Indie music. Instrumentation includes Acoustic Guitars, Ukulele, Native American flute, Jazz and Latin percussion, 5/6 string Basses, and Piano/Synthesizers. Arrangements are intricately designed to compliment exceptionally delivered vocals and vocal harmonies. One can hear influences of artists that range from John Mayer to CSNY to the Beatles and every artist that focused on Acoustic-based rock. KELI RAVEN. Founder, leader, guitarist/vocalist and the bands songwriter, has been a musician since age 3, when he began studying "drums" in his native New York City. Since then, he has added producing to his repertoire of talents. His ability as a guitarist both in and out of the studio has often been compared to that of the late trailblazer, Jimi Hendrix. Keli has worked with artists ranging from "newbies" to legends, recording and on stage here in the U S and abroad. The collaboration with the members of the band unleashes a sound and style that will linger like the stabbing sweet smell of honeysuckle. MARTIN BARRIOS. Bassist, native of San Fernando, California. Martin is enjoying his climb towards a successful musical career, as long as he can remember first picking up the bass. Martin, self-taught, always envisioned himself as a successful musician. Never once did he label himself, nor did his fellow musicians label him as just a "rock bassist". Listening to his artistry, you will hear a well-seasoned, solid bass man. Martin gained his experience playing with different local bands around Los Angeles, preparing himself to become a member of a group of musicians "headed for great things and a superfluous musical adventure". MONICA KANIOS RAVEN. Flautist and vocalist. Beauty, talent and commitment are what this musician brought with her from Poland. Her ventures here in the U S led her to recording studios throughout Los Angeles as a session player and backup vocalist. She has been a professional musician for the past 10 plus years. Teaming up with Keli Raven enables her to be creative while enjoying her fellow members' efforts in front of the audiences she will wrap around her fingers with the smooth, sultry yet energetic trappings of her flute. TICO GRIMALDI.... Percussionist came to California by way of Caracas and other US states. He has played drums since age eight, then studied at the L.A.Music Institute. worked with numerous bands in Los Angeles,( fond memories of "Invisible Poet Kings",and mentor like figure: Barry Kennan). A rhythmic musical heritage combined with a sincere love of music, has produced a drummer “for all seasons”. Some influences: Alex VanHalen, Bonham, Boon E Carlos Matt Furnette and Karl Palmer. About The Matt Pistol Project The Matt Pistol Project was formed around the year 2000 when two friends Hannu and Peter were enjoying playing guitar and writing songs. Devoted to their cause these two friends kept on playing and formed a solid team of songwriter and lead guitarist. Hannu’s strong vision of storytelling and songwriting and Peter’s bluesy and sentimental playing style were soon reinforced by bass player Jouni, keyboard player Markku (who is also Hannu’s brother) and drummer Aleksi. The band signed a management deal with Petri Ekman and Koetinkivi Oy in the beginning of the year 2006 and soon after that the band started working with producer Michael Blair (who has performed with Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Elvis Costello... produced Ryan Adams, Soul Asylum...). The Matt Pistol Project recorded four songs in April 2006 with Mr. Michael Blair. On April 2007 the band signed a publishing deal with the Stockholm based MARSONGS Publishing. These songs have a strong meaning to the band and it’s singer- songwriter Hannu and they’re delivering meaningful images thru stories from different sides of life - its up and downs and heavens and hells. Sounding like the bastard child of Face to Face and The Foo Fighters, members Randy Mazick, Jon Stutler, Nick Turner and Jason Marino blend rock guitars, pounding drums, smooth bass and scathing vocals with a high-energy live performance that has captivated thousands of fans. Formed in 2001, The Asphalt quickly cut a path to recognition after reaching the 75,000 hit mark on mp3.com before the websites untimely demise and also have been a featured artist on XM Radio’s unsigned channel and regular spins on Phoenix radio station “The Edge” 103.9, and Las Vegas radio stations “Comp” 92.3 & “Extreme” 107.5. Recently, The Asphalt’s single "From Afar" was added to the soundtrack for The Fast and The Furious/Tokyo Drift PS2 video game. State of Mind is comprised of lead vocalist Gregg Thomas, lead guitarist Guy Cook, bassist Tim Ott, and drummer Mike Vorholt. The band was formed in the summer of 2004 on the gritty South Side of Saint Louis. The band has spent the better part of their infancy writing songs and developing a powerful, mature sound that will not only send them ahead of the pack, but will also define them as experienced veterans in the music business.
Biography Jonesboro, AR—Born in the Arkansas hills and with a deep-rooted appreciation for blues-tinged Southern rock as well as radio-ready album rock, five-piece rock band Further Down has arrived. With the release of the band's third full-length album, 7 Years Hard Luck (August 21, 2007), it's clear that Further Down is on a mission to bring rock to its roots and back again to the present. Further Down features rock royalty in their bloodlines (the two guitarists are cousins of Tommy Shaw of Styx and Jim Dandy Mangrum of BOA), and the band delivers songwriting hooks and plays their instruments with precision like a group that's been together for twenty years. But they are all in their mid-twenties, allowing the potential for great things. Radio stations such as Clear Channel's KISS 101.9 and Z 100.5 in Jonesboro, as well as Z95.5 in Poplar Bluff, MO; The Max 93.1 in Batesville, AR; and Rock 103 in Memphis have all jumped on board, giving Further Down the kind of regional push needed to branch out into other markets in the South and Midwest. In addition, the album is being nationally distributed by Select-O-Hits (Memphis) and the Band's indie label, WoodShed Records. And along with the powerful studio release, Further Down has refined an airtight live show in markets such as Little Rock, St. Louis, Memphis and Nashville with plans to branch out more in 2008. JAMIE WALSH “NOTE TO SELF” New CD June 1st, 2006 is now set for the release of Jamie’s new CD called “Note to Self”. We all need a great story of how a star is born. Jamie Walsh grew up in a musical family, and has sung and played since he was five years old. When Jamie started classical music training at the age of nine, he discovered his passion and has pursued music ever since. Jamie started playing guitar at the age of fourteen; he played at benefits, fund raisers and talents shows, wowing audiences wherever he played. At age sixteen he started playing professionally with local bands and as a solo performer. Jamie has also studied at St. Francis Xavier School of Music Jazz Program. Jamie’s pursuits towards the realization of his debut CD, “NOTE TO SELF “, have a spark of inspiration from his blues band called West Coast Blues. After playing with these seasoned and highly respected musicians, who will also accompany him on his CD, Jamie has discovered his unique guitar styling and presentation of his music. The timing of the release of Jamie’s new CD is very important because of a local studio that has been an integral part of this project. Stan Gallant, the owner of the studio, has long been a friend and musical collaborator with Jamie. Stan will also engineer and produce the CD. Jamie’s music is best described as an eclectic blend of many styles that have come together to create a truly timeless masterpiece. With the line-up complete in 2003 when James took a seat behind the drums, Glassapple already had a mountain of songs to wade through. It wasn't pop, and wasn't rock, and the songs tormented edge that meant soaring choruses, vocal harmonies, insidiously melodic guitar lines and lyrics that move from dark to light and back again, make fitting into a category a difficult task. Simple love songs hold strange twists, and general laments on society are reconciled with beguiling simplicity. Jamie and Dean formed the band in early 2001 and, with an equal passion to come up with memorable and captivating tunes, the songs developed in earnest. As much as time allowed, the band gigged the London area in 2003-04 before the call of University sent Jamie to Edinburgh, Dean and Michael to Nottingham and James to Sunderland. But, undeterred, and with the independent release of 3-track EP See Through last year, the band will be recording in London their as-yet-untitled debut album this Summer before they embark upon a tour of the East Coast of the US, with hopefully a UK-release in the not too distant future.
Chad Rager grew up listening to horn bands and drums. From school jazz bands to the Big Bands of Benny Goodman; Count Basie; Woody Herman; Buddy Rich's Big Band; and horn bands like Tower of Power; Blood, Sweat & Tears, and Chicago; the power and sound of horns coupled with the craftmanship of a great drum sounds fueled his dreams. In 1993, Chad began his journey to fulfilling his musical dreams by starting a big band. Chad decided to try a new approach with a sleeker, scaled-down instrumentation. With five horns and a three piece rhythm section, Rager was able to accomplish his musical goals and, at the same time, create a new sound. The guiding principal of the band is "the groove", smooth tasteful sounds that appeals to listeners are what will greet their ears. The band Blanch was born at end of 2004. We are the band who plays in brit-rock style, has about 90 minutes of an energetic live program and wants to play it everywhere. Our main goal is to play with (or instead of :)) Radiohead.
With the line-up complete in 2003 when James took a seat behind the drums, Glassapple already had a mountain of songs to wade through. It wasn't pop, and wasn't rock, and the songs tormented edge that meant soaring choruses, vocal harmonies, insidiously melodic guitar lines and lyrics that move from dark to light and back again, make fitting into a category a difficult task. Simple love songs hold strange twists, and general laments on society are reconciled with beguiling simplicity. Jamie and Dean formed the band in early 2001 and, with an equal passion to come up with memorable and captivating tunes, the songs developed in earnest. As much as time allowed, the band gigged the London area in 2003-04 before the call of University sent Jamie to Edinburgh, Dean and Michael to Nottingham and James to Sunderland. But, undeterred, and with the independent release of 3-track EP See Through last year, the band will be recording in London their as-yet-untitled debut album this Summer before they embark upon a tour of the East Coast of the US, with hopefully a UK-release in the not too distant future.

Early on the brothers recognized their innate talents for creating music, both as a team and individually. Holed up in a Sydney recording studio with too much caffeine under their collective belts, producer Tim Powles couldn’t resist the urge to ask about the lyrics in one of the tracks the boys were laying down. He was convinced frontman Travis Caudle was singing about little wooden elves walking across the sea. He wasn’t, but the subsequent blurry-eyed, late-night rantings about such a phenomenon wouldn’t go away, and so The Woodenelves were born. With their roots in Perth, Western Australia, The Woodenelves formed in 2004 when frontman Travis Caudle teamed up with lead guitarist Jonathon Tiedtke. By mid 2005, they had begun trekking from Perth to Sydney to record their first album at Spacejunk Production House with Powles, also the drummer of acclaimed Australian band The Church. The Woodenelves’ album Trips Between Worlds was launched in May 2007 at Perth’s premier original music venue, The Rosemount Hotel. The band has a publishing agreement with Sydney’s Foghorn Records and a licensing deal with LA’s Undercover Tracks. Three guys who grew up listening to their dad play Johnny Cash tunes on an acoustic guitar have embraced the spirit of independent rock & roll. From the backwoods of West Virginia, the dust of Oklahoma, and the pouring rain of Seattle, they've created their own brand of scruffy, intelligent rock. It all began while cruising around small-town Oklahoma in an old LeBaron convertible, the mid-nineties mix of country music and alternative rock scratching through their FM radio. There the guys beat together their idea of what real music was, and what a band should be. But their lives were about to take several twists and turns. Through the earliest years of the 21st century, they would move from Oklahoma to Seattle, from Seattle to living on the road, and from living on the road back to their original home of West Virginia. It was while in WV, in a town with few venues and a sparse music scene, that they would first buckle down and do the one thing most bands fail to do - grow a huge, loyal audience. Where there had been no venues, they took a local movie theater, and made it one of the most popular ones around. Where there had been a sparse music scene, they helped grow a network of musicians and bands that captivated the area. And then, they started aiming for the biggest goal they could find: to fill Charleston, WV's Civic Center. Riding a wave of anticipation, and looking for a way to grow geographically and musically, they made one final move, and headed for Nashville, TN. From Nashville, the brothers have struck out into the college circuit, traveling as far as Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Clarion, Pennsylvania. The Oneders (the full band!) The "One-Hit Oneders Revue" features Scott Rogness and Rick Elias , songwriting partners and bandmates since being introduced through Geffen Records in Los Angeles. Years later, their musical partnership and songwriting skills so impressed Tom Hanks, they were asked to read his script and "write whatever you want." The result was the creation of five songs that mimicked the sound of 1964 for Hanks' film THAT THING YOU DO! As Scott puts it: "Rick and I were asked to create music for THE WONDERS, a band that would have been on the Billboard charts in 1964. So the songs had to have elements of all those great '60's bands, from the Stones, to The Beatles, The Kinks, and American Bands like the Knickerbockers, The Standells, Nashville Teens and the like. The music became a hybrid mix that took you back into that period and really propelled the energy of the soundtrack." At one point, Tom Hanks and Producer Gary Goetzman needed one more song. They gave Scott and Rick a title and a deadline: "write a song called Let Me Be The One and bring it back tomorrow." They exited to a hotel room to create something and personally auditioned it for Hanks the next day! That is the kind of pressure and excitement that circled this project. Rick was responsible for the guitar work on their songs and others as well as the classic 12-string guitar parts. Rick has also been a successful recording artist in his own right and a member of the late Christian artist Rich Mullins Ragamuffin Band. His is also a much in-demand producer in Nashville. Scott contributed lead and background vocals in the film and soundtrack. He is the singing voice of Lenny, the young guitarist of The Wonders. Scott has been an accomplished songwriter/musician for years. He has done extensive vocal session work and continues to ride on Rick's coattails. In 2002, Tom Hanks' production company PLAYTONE, called to say: "we're dropping one of your songs into this little independent film we're producing." Scott and Rick didn't think much more about it until it turn out to be the biggest grossing independent film of all time - MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING. THAT THING YOU DO! continues to grow in cult status and is still broadcast on VH1's Movies that Rock and regularly on HBO. The "One-Hit Oneders Revue" is a rare opportunity to hear songs from the film, songs by the original songwriters. They also take you on a journey through one-hit wonders from the 60's, 70's and into the 80's. It's a rock solid band of great musicians.

Having performed at many of South-East Asia's largest festivals, most pristine hotels, resorts, clubs, concerts, pubs, balls, weddings and charitable events, has given Shades Of Gold the opportunity to play for large numbers of people, and diverse races and cultures. The team is available as compact as a trio, or with a full backing band. Either way when Shades Of Gold is the entertainment, the results are always a spectacular, high energy performance that will appeal to all.
I studied music for several years. I worked at televisions stations in New York City, and appeared in Commercials, Magazine Ads, Television and Films. Loving to perform, and sounding like one of my favorite artists, Johnny Mathis, I decided to begin performing a Tribute to Johnny Mathis. I have been performing the character of Johnny Mathis, all over the world, since 1994. My sister, Lola Falana, became well known as a singer/dancer. I have played the Main Showrooms of several Casinos as well as Theatres. Hailing from the deep south, Benjamin Clark began playing the piano at the tender age of two years old. Within a few months, it was clear to Benjamin’s piano instructor that he had a prodigy on his hands. At the age of 12, when most young boys are pursuing sports and academics, Benjamin was performing on stages in New York and later at 16, he had his own nine-piece band. Generating sizable buzz, the piano prodigy began performing with 1950s Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Lloyd Price. Best known for his authentic New Orleans sound and hits including “Stagger” and “Personality,” Lloyd took a liking to Benjamin and the two formed a lasting friendship. Following high school, Benjamin continued performing on stages with acts including Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, The Coasters, The Tempetations, Little Richard and the Isley Brothers just to name a few. At the age of 24 Benjamin wrote arrangements, conducted and performed at Carnegie Hall with a 21 piece all star orchestra that included many arrangers and musicians that he admired as a kid. Expanding his repertoire and status within the record industry, Benjamin began to pursue executive and managerial opportunities and later served in multiple promotional, direct marketing and A&R positions for several prestigious record labels including CBS, PolyGram, Warner Brothers, RCA, Macola and Brunswick Records. Under his creative and business direction, Benjamin worked with a host of artists including Jackie Wilson, Chi-Lites, Larry Graham and Dr. Dre. In addition, Benjamin also co-founded Devel Records with industry heavyweight Clive Davis. Clearly a major force in the record industry, Benjamin’s resume reads like a Grammy nomination list and his talent is undeniable.
He has sung The National Anthem for major league sporting events from coast to coast, and enjoys the rare distinction of performing for the joint leadership of the House and Senate inside The United States Capitol. Symphonic performances of "The House I Live In" and John Williams' "America, The Dream Goes On" have garnered the praise and admiration of many D.C. notables, especially Sen. Orrin Hatch (himself an accomplished songwriter). Mayor Rudy Giuliani personally called upon William to open the December 11, 2001 memorial service at Ground Zero with a solo, a cappella rendition of "Let There Be Peace On Earth", which has been rebroadcast worldwide over network TV, CNN, National Public Radio, and the Internet. William’s credits extend into the classical world, in New York, Boston, and in recitals at the Aspen and Tanglewood Music Festivals. Operatic roles include Figaro and the Count in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen, Marcello in Puccini’s La Bohème, and the dark Hunding in Wagner’s Die Walküre. In spring 2005 he’ll star as Danilo in the upcoming Opera Memphis production of Lehár’s The Merry Widow. TV appearances include "Law and Order", "All My Children", and "Guiding Light."
Following the success of his live CD, william michals broadway in concert, William is now collaborating with some of the extraordinary creative talents behind Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, and Charlotte Church, fusing the myriad of musical styles with which he has been associated, and providing the true baritone sound the “crossover” market has so far lacked. Murali Coryell was born in NYC October 27, 1969. During Murali's infancy the family moved around a lot living for a time in Scotland with bassist/vocalist Jack Bruce and in California with guitarist Carlos Santana. When Larry's career took off the family moved to a farm in Doylestown, PA where Murali's brother, Julian, was born in 1973. Then moved to Wilton, CT in 1975 and eventually settling in Westport, CT where Murali graduated from Staples High School in 1987. Vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, producer and record label owner Murali Coryell graduated with honors in 1992 from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz. There he studied languages and earned a B.A. degree in music theory and composition. Murali is fluent in French and Spanish and is able to read and speak many languages including Russian and Arabic. He also has a background in acting and theater. Among his first professional jobs were stints as guitarist for folk singer Richie Havens in 1993 and then as guitarist and sometime vocalist for blues man Duke Robillard in 1994. Shortly thereafter, Murali signed his first record deal which resulted in the debut CD "Eyes Wide Open" (released in 1995 and later re-issued in 2000) featuring songs written by Murali influenced by R&B of the 1960's and 70's. Mark Scheerer for CNN's "Showbiz Today" was impressed with a live performance and did a piece on Murali which aired April 15, 1997. Like his mentor Miles Davis, Murali has long had his own melodic and harmonic concept which has been shaped by his own unique musical and life experience. For this reason Murali is credited as producer or co-producer on all recordings that bear his name. Murali would rather not be categorized but would prefer to be recognized as an artist, who as one fan posted on Amazon.com "...has unparalleled rhythm and harmony sense no matter what form of music he touches." 1999 saw the release of "2120" (CZYZ Records). Executively produced by Marshall Chess (formerly of Chess and Rolling Stones Records), "2120" garnered a glowing three star review in Rolling Stone and drew comparisons to Jimi Hendrix and Otis Redding in a New York Times review. In 2000 the release of "The Coryell's" (Chesky Records) chronicled the long awaited collaboration with father Larry and brother Julian in an acoustic exploration of blues and jazz.
The pain of losing a loved one never goes away, but Falcon believes he's a better man for it. "After the first initial years of grief, it's almost like you get something back. I don't know what, but it's like an enriching thing for me." As fate would have it, or "a total fluke," as Falcon would call it, success walked through the front door unannounced and tapped him on the shoulder.
"So I go from this guy who didn't know where anything was coming from, this Mr. Mom, and here I am hanging out with Jon and Danny Kortchmar, Benmont Tench. I'm in Jon's house, cutting demos while his wife is making coffee. This was a trip." The result was "Pretty Blue World," spawning a minor hit in "Power Windows." Two years later, Falcon was back -- more confident and relaxed, and still pinching himself. His second Mercury album, "Letters From a Paper Ship," was released in 1994. His ship has come in. "First and foremost, I'm a father, and then I'm a writer," Falcon said. "Something happens on the outside and it affects me on the inside, and I write. That's my letter. I figure, with the album title, what could be more vulnerable, more movable, more affected than a paper ship."
